Toon, a chef and owner, was raised in Thailand, the food powerhouse of the world.
During his teenage years, he moved to Bangkok for his studies and lived with his cousin, where he honed his cooking skills by assisting his aunt in preparing dinner for the family after school.
After graduating in 2001, Toon set out for a new challenge in Los Angeles and started as a kitchen helper in a Thai restaurant. He was later introduced to Yamato Restaurant, a prominent Japanese chain in the US, and quickly fell in love with Japanese cuisine, learning all aspects of it from back of kitchen to front of sushi bar.
In 2008, he moved to Melbourne and worked at Kanpai Japanese Restaurant, followed by Chocolate Buddha in Federation Square.
In 2012, he was awarded the "Customer Service Excellence Award" from Federation Square.
Before starting Teru, he served as head chef at Ichi Ni Izakaya.
Toon recognized the shortage of quality Japanese restaurants in the western suburbs and aimed to fill the gap with his own establishment, with the goal of bringing enjoyment of his meals to the local community.

We have worked to package our meals in a way that lets you bring the quality of our meals into your home. We always love to see you in person, but even when we can't we ensure that your dining experience is top notch!
